Statement by President Meloni

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the news of the tragic passing of Andrea Moretti, the specialist worker who died last night following an accident at the Colosseum.

I wish to extend my condolences and sympathy to his family, his loved ones and his colleagues at this incredibly difficult time, and express my hope that full light will be shed on what happened as quickly as possible.

Dying at the age of 22 is unacceptable, and even more so if it happens in the workplace. It is also in Andrea's name that we shall continue to do our part, remaining committed and making every effort to ensure such tragedies never happen again.
