The Vista Civic Center, McClellan Senior Center, VisTix, and the Jim Porter Recreation Center will be closed from December 25, 2025, through January 4, 2026. These facilities will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2026, during regular business hours.
The Public Works Department will be closed on December 25, 2025, and January 1, 2026 only, and will remain open on all other weekdays during its normal operating hours. Residents should continue to use the after-hours emergency phone line to report urgent Public Works issues during closures.
Public safety services remain unchanged. Vista Fire Rescue's emergency services and the San Diego County Sheriff's Office will continue operating as normal throughout the holiday period. For emergencies, dial 9-1-1.
City parks will remain open during the closure, operating on their regular daily schedules, allowing residents and visitors to continue enjoying outdoor spaces over the holidays.
The City's free mulch and compost pick-up program will be paused for the month of January.
There will be a one-day delay for refuse collection services provided by EDCO.
