Colorado Springs Airport Monthly Update — May 2026

Passenger enplanements at Colorado Springs Airport in May 2026 totaled 106,722, down 4.7 percent from 112,023 in May 2025. This decline was likely due to a confluence of economic caution, elevated fuel costs and higher airfares.

Delta Air Lines reported a significant increase in enplanements, rising 68.6 percent, driven by the addition of a second daily flight to Salt Lake City (SLC) and larger aircraft operating flights to Atlanta (ATL). American Airlines saw a more modest increase of 3.5 percent, attributed to their new service to Chicago O'Hare (ORD).

ElevateCOS Concourse Modernization

COS recently announced the allocation of $7.5 million in federal grant funding through the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Terminal Program. The funding, provided through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, supports terminal upgrades at airports nationwide.

Allegiant Air - St. Petersburg/Clearwater (PIE); Phoenix/Mesa (AZA); Santa Ana/Orange County (SNA)

• Twice-weekly service to PIE.
• Twice-weekly service to AZA.
• Service to SNA will pause from August 8 through October 1 due to increased fuel prices.

American Airlines - Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW); Chicago O'Hare (ORD)

• Up to six daily flights to DFW with extensive domestic and international connections.
• Daily service to ORD.

Delta Air Lines - Atlanta (ATL); Salt Lake City (SLC); Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP)

• Twice-daily service to ATL.
• Twice-daily service to SLC.
• Daily service to MSP.
