Participation in the 9th Session of the ESCAP Committee on Environment and Development

On July 3, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sanoi Boyzoda participated in the 9th meeting of the ESCAP Committee on Environment and Development.

The meeting reviewed the progress of the implementation of the "Ministerial Declaration on Protecting Our Planet through Regional Cooperation and Solidarity in the Asia-Pacific Region" (2022) and discussed the conclusions of the "Report on Synergy in Asia and the Pacific: Advancing Synergistic Solutions to the Triple Planetary Crisis and the Sustainable Development Goals".

During the event, Deputy Minister S. Boyzoda chaired one of the key working sessions of this body and presented the main results, messages and policy recommendations of the Regional Preparatory Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Countries for the United Nations Water Conference in 2026, which was held within the framework of the Fourth Dushanbe Water Conference.
