Sewing, Upcycling Denim and 3D Printing Camps

The City of Vista is offering new summer day camps at the Thibodo Community Center, 1150 Lupine Hills Drive, from June 23-August 8.

Camps will be taught by Tracey Herriot of Clicbitz Technology & Textile Arts.

SEWING PAJAMA PANTS
June 23-27 / 9 am- 12 pm
Campers will learn sewing basics, from the importance of grainlines, how to properly measure your body, and read a pattern. Learn your way around a sewing machine while you make your own pajama pants! Bring your own sewing machine or barrow one of ours. A $25.00 materials fee will be collected on the first day of camp on Monday, June 23. Ages 8-16.

UPCYCLING DENIM
July 28-August 1 / 9 am-12 pm
Calling all fashionistas! Beginners welcome. Learn basic sewing techniques, practice design and drawing skills while upcycling old denim and jean jackets to make your very own custom creation. Bring your own sewing machine or use one of ours. All materials supplied however students can provide their own jean jacket to upcycle. Ages 9-15.

3D PRINTING & MORE
August 4-8 / 9 am-3:30 pm
Join us for a week of fun using 3D printers, computer programming skills, and graphic design. Camp includes a free Clicbitz backpack. We will cover topics such as the importance of taking care of our environment and being responsible with waste. All materials provided. Ages 9-15.
