Chinese Consul General in Perth Fu Lihua Visits the City of Cockburn

On May 21, 2026, Consul General Fu Lihua visited the City of Cockburn, met with Mayor Logan Howlett. The city's CEO Daniel Simms was present.

Consul General Fu stated that the economies of China and Western Australia are highly complementary, and China's implementation on the 15th Five Year Plan will bring more opportunities of cooperation between both sides. China and Cockburn maintains close cooperation along with persistent time-honoured friendship. The Chinese Consulate General is ready to play a bridging role and provide more support and facilitation for Cockburn's cooperation with China. Mayor Howlett spoke highly of China's achievement in economy, technology, ecological conservation and other fields, and emphasized Cockburn's focus on relations with China and the city's willingness to actively expand friendly exchanges and cooperation.

On the same day, Consul General Fu visited and exchanged ideas with representatives of local Chinese community.
