Final Restoration Work Begins in Mt. Washington

Beginning Monday, October 27, Pittsburgh Water will begin final restoration work throughout the Mt. Washington neighborhood. This includes paving of areas that saw improvements as part of the Lead Service Line Replacement (LSLR) program.

WHEN: Monday, October 27 - Friday, November 7, 2025. The contractor will utilize temporary road closures as needed based on the paving limits and safety requirements. There will be certified flaggers to assist with traffic control. Any temporary road closures will only be implemented during working hours. All work is weather-dependent. Contractors have been reminded to ensure all work areas are safe and clean ahead of Halloween.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may occur if necessary.

WHY: This restoration marks the final phase of the lead service line replacement project in Mt. Washington. In this current project, Pittsburgh Water has replaced over 230 public-side and over 330 private-side lead lines from residences throughout Mt. Washington as part of the utility's broader commitment to eliminate all residential lead service lines by the end of 2027.
