BOZEMAN - Montana PBS will host a community event, Neighbor Day, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 13, at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman.
The event is geared toward families with children ages 3-8. It will include hands-on educational activities focusing on literacy and on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, as well as summer resources for parents. It will also include a meet-and-greet with the PBS television show character Daniel Tiger.
Neighbor Day is free and open to the public. In addition to Montana PBS, event sponsors include Bozeman Health, Culligan, First Interstate Bank, the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, Montana Parent Magazine and Big Sky Tutoring.
Event partner organizations include Big Brothers Big Sisters; Bozeman Fire Department; Bozeman Police Department; Bozeman Public Library Bookmobile; Concussion Resource Center; Family Outreach; Gallatin Valley YMCA; Greater Gallatin United Way; HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank; Montana Swim Academy; Montana State University's police department; Museum of the Rockies; Northern Lights Therapy Dogs; Random Acts of Silliness; Sacajawea Audubon Society; Thrive; Tinworks Art; U.S. Forest Service's Custer Gallatin National Forest, Hebgen Lake Ranger District and Bozeman Ranger District; Windhorse Equine Learning; and World Language Initiative.
