Minister of Foreign Affairs hosts a working lunch for high-level representatives of the Japanese private sector

On 19 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a working lunch for Mr. Ishiguro Norihiko, Chairman and CEO of JETRO, Mr. Ishii Keita, Vice Chair of Keidanren's Japan-Thailand Committee, and other senior executives of JETRO and Keidanren.

The discussions focused on advancing the economic partnership. Both sides agreed to build on Thailand's strengths by reinforcing strategic industries, accelerating the transition of the automotive sector toward future mobility, and jointly expanding access to new and emerging markets.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments, underscoring the critical linkage between economic stability, resilient supply chains, and long-term prosperity for the region.
