Día de los Muertos: Community Ofrenda & Candlelight Vigil

The City of Fairfield invites the community to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the lives of loved ones during this year's Día de los Muertos observance.

In partnership with Solano Community College and the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the City of Fairfield will host a Community Ofrenda and Candlelight Vigil on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Fairfield Community Center and City Hall Pond, located at 1000 Kentucky Street, Fairfield, CA 94533.

This free, family-friendly gathering offers an opportunity for families, friends, and neighbors to come together in remembrance and celebration. The evening will include a Community Ofrenda, traditional music, face painting, warm drinks, and a candlelight walk around the pond.

Schedule of Events Monday, November 2

  • 6:00 PM - Community Ofrenda on display in the Community Center Lobby
  • 7:00 PM - Candlelight walk around City Hall Pond
  • 8:00 PM - Event concludes

The Community Ofrenda will be on display from October 28 through November 2, giving community members several days to visit, reflect, and contribute a special remembrance.

Community members are encouraged to bring a photo, small memento, or written remembrance to add to the Ofrenda. Whether honoring a family member, friend, or someone who has made a meaningful impact in the community, each remembrance helps create a shared space of love and reflection.

Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that reminds us that while our loved ones may no longer be with us, their memories, stories, and the impact they made continue to live on.

The City of Fairfield, Solano Community College, and the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce welcome everyone to join us for an evening of remembrance, tradition, family, and community.
