C ommercial recycling, trash collection suspended for Friday, Jan. 10
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The City of Fayetteville's Recycling and Trash Collection services are suspended for Friday, Jan. 10, because of road conditions caused by inclement weather. Many area roads are slick, creating safety and access concerns for heavy trucks getting into tight spaces and traversing hills.
Crews worked in advance of the winter storm to perform as many commercial collections as possible. Friday commercial routes are suspended and will resume normal operations when roads conditions allow for safe collections. Customers are asked to ensure dumpsters are free from obstructions, such as snow piles or parked vehicles, that will prevent crews from accessing and servicing them.
Residential collections take place Monday through Thursday, so there is no impact to residential service with this suspension.
All Recycling and Trash facilities will be closed to the public on Friday, including the trash transfer station. These facilities will be reopened to the public when road and weather conditions allow for safe operations.
