SimpliFed, the maternal healthcare leader in providing virtual breastfeeding and baby feeding support for new parents, announced its $10M Series A round. The round was led by Morningside and Hesperia Capital with participation from Foreground Capital and additional investors.
Orrick represented SimpliFed.
SimpliFed is a virtual maternal healthcare leader providing comprehensive care from pregnancy through postpartum with a focus on baby feeding support. The company's proprietary virtual care platform connects families with International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and other maternal health providers through secure telehealth visits.
The financing will enable SimpliFed to accelerate its growth, scaling the company's core lactation offering while adding additional virtual OB services. The funds raised in this Series A round will activate contracted partnerships with health systems and OBGYN clinics, and deepen the clinical collaboration possible in those partnerships through the use of an interoperable EMR and APIs.
The Orrick team is led by Josh Beser, Jeremy Sherer, Amy Joseph and Andy Bloom, and includes David Sharrow, Christina Bouchot, Drew Kohlmeier, Melania Jankowski, Christopher Bulkley, and Thora Johnson.
