Two City Colleges of Chicago faculty members have been selected as inaugural Amazon Web Services (AWS) Machine Learning University Faculty Fellows for the 2026-2027 cohort.
As fellows, Wilbur Wright College Computer Information Systems Instructor Gustavo Alatta and Malcolm X College Mathematics Instructor Latoya Stampley will facilitate AI and machine learning instruction at City Colleges and support faculty in integrating these technologies into their teaching and research.
Earlier this year, City Colleges of Chicago was selected as a regional lead institution for AWS Machine Learning University and established the Midwest AI/Machine Learning Initiative Powered by AWS, bringing the cloud learning environment to faculty and their classrooms at no cost.
Congratulations, to Professors Alatta and Stampley. We look forward to seeing the impact this fellowship has on your classrooms and the City Colleges community.
