Treat yourself to some music over the next week, with several concerts to choose from: the Cornell Chamber Orchestra, Cornell Jazz Ensemble with guest vocalist Sara Gazarek, Cornell Wind Faculty Recital, Midday Music for Organ with David Yearsleyand the Cornell Wind Symphony with the Yosvany Terry Quartet. Below, find a selection of other upcoming events that are open to the public.
Vocalist Sara Gazarek will perform with the Cornell Jazz Ensemble at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16.
Town-Gown Awards
Celebrate community-campus partnerships at the annual Town-Gown Awards, recognizing three winners and thanking local leaders who are retiring. Interim President Michael I. Kotlikoff will offer opening remarks. Coffee, doughnuts and popcorn will be served.
Supreme Court discussion
Ann Marimow '97, the Zubrow Distinguished Visiting Journalist in the College of Arts & Sciences and The Washington Post's Supreme Court correspondent, will moderate the panel "A Polarized Supreme Court: What It Means for Democracy." The panel of experts will explore declining public confidence in the court, its ethics controversies and how the court will respond to likely challenges to the new administration's policies.
