On March 30, the Italian version of the International Web Portal of Beijing (https://italian.beijing.gov.cn) was officially launched. To date, the portal now covers 10 languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Italian, providing one-stop, full-cycle online services for foreign-invested enterprises and foreign nationals.
The International Web Portal of Beijing serves as a vital channel for Beijing to present its foreign-related service capabilities to the world. Integrating information release, public services, and interactive communication functions, it helps address diverse issues, such as those concerning payment, transportation, studying, living, tourism, and business establishment, providing global users with a wide range of convenient "one-stop" services. The portal offers user-friendly service guides, featuring both business services, such as investment, project initiation and company registration, as well as guidance on matters concerning foreign nationals, such as visa applications and accommodation registration. It supports online appointment booking and processing, helping foreign-invested enterprises and international talents better understand Beijing, integrate into the city, and enjoy their stays.
The Italian version features a clean and elegant interface design. On the homepage's top part, a dynamic video showcases Beijing's modern urban landscape, ecological scenery, cultural landmarks, and profound historical heritage, presenting the unique charm of this international metropolis. Users can quickly access information on the city profile, service guidelines, and latest events through the navigation bar, and can also ask questions and provide feedback through efficient online interaction.
In terms of functional structure, the Italian version integrates scenario-based and integrated design concepts, featuring 10 specialized service sections to make information retrieval more intuitive and efficient. These sections focus on five core themes: investment, technological innovation, tourism, education, and culture, and systematically combine various information resources to provide one-stop service support for foreign-invested enterprises and expatriates in Beijing. Additionally, it strengthens government service functions by prominently displaying five high-frequency service items: visa application, transportation, payment services, work permits, and the 12345 hotline. It offers service guidance with clear categorization, straightforward procedures, and highly readable content, helping users efficiently complete online processes.
The portal also features a "City Updates" section, which aggregates the latest news on Beijing, special policy interpretations, and information on various urban events in real time, offering a comprehensive view of the capital's development. This section presents information and provides clear guidance through visual formats such as infographics and calendars, making it easy for expatriates to stay informed on the latest news in Beijing, understand policies, and access channels to participate in various city events with just a few clicks.
The "Foreigners in Beijing" section shares the stories of ambassadors, entrepreneurs of foreign-invested enterprises, foreigners working in the city, foreign students, and foreign tourists, presenting their memorable moments in Beijing through their stories of working, living, studying, and traveling in this city.
The launch of the Italian version further expands the language coverage of Beijing's international services, providing greater convenience for more expatriates in Beijing. It also serves as an important pillar for showcasing the city's openness and inclusiveness while enhancing its capacity for international exchange services.
