BANGOR, Maine: A Mexican man pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Bangor to illegally reentering the country after a prior removal.
According to court records, on September 10, 2026, a U.S. Border Patrol agent was traveling in Franklin County when he observed a cargo van operating with temporary license plates. The agent followed the van to a fast-food restaurant in Farmington and spoke with the occupants. Ramon Delgado-Guerrero, 29, was a passenger in the vehicle. Delgado-Guerrero is a citizen of Mexico and had previously been removed from the United States on two separate occasions in 2017.
Delgado-Guerrero faces up to two years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office. A federal district judge will determine any sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
The U.S. Border Patrol investigated the case.
