Briar Cliff Receives $120,000 in Scholarship Grants to Support Woodbury County Students

Briar Cliff University has been awarded $120,000 in scholarship funding to support graduates of Woodbury County high schools pursuing their college education.

The announcement was made at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City as part of a larger $425,000 regional scholarship initiative investing in Siouxland students for the 2025-26 academic year.

This year, the program expanded to include two Dakota County, Nebraska partners and introduced a new dollar-for-dollar match with The Kind World Foundation, administered through the Siouxland Community Foundation.

Eligible students must graduate from a Woodbury County high school and may receive up to $5,000 per yearin scholarship support.

Since 2015, more than $60 million has been invested back into Siouxland, including $3.2 million in scholarships - through funds generated by local gaming revenue. This continued partnership reinforces Briar Cliff's commitment to expanding access to higher education and strengthening our region through opportunity.
