Juneteenth Family Day is June 19

Gov. Katie Hobbs scheduled to attend Juneteenth event in Goodyear

The city of Goodyear is excited to share the details of its free Juneteenth Family Day celebration on Thursday, June 19, at the Goodyear Recreation Campus!

This fun, family-friendly event runs from 5 to 9 p.m., and there's something for everyone to enjoy. New this year, there will be expanded outdoor festivities starting at 5 p.m., with indoor activities kicking off at 6 p.m.

Come experience a dynamic evening filled with live performances from 40+ Double Dutch, AZ Rhythm Connection, Pretty Precise Step and more! Plus, educational speeches and interactive activities that celebrate culture, community and freedom. Discover the history and importance of Juneteenth through engaging workshops and enjoy a variety of local food and business vendors throughout the night.

This year, we're honored to welcome Gov. Katie Hobbs to the celebration. Her attendance reflects the importance of this special day for communities across Arizona.
