'Pet of the Week' - Lefty

To spread the word about animal adoption and to help these loving animals find fur-ever homes, the City of Lewisville will feature a Pet of the Week each week in this media packet, available for adoption at the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center, 995 E. Valley Ridge.

This week's featured pet is Lefty, a 1.5-year-old male Shepherd/Mix dog.

This big, playful boy can foresee himself in your home. Don't let his tough exterior fool you, he's a lover boy with a gentle meow. Lefty is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, had flea treatment applied, and sterilized. Sadly, he has tested positive for heartworms. Heartworm disease is very treatable, and Lewisville Animal Services will provide the heartworm treatment.
