"The city is looking for ways to spend your tax dollars as efficiently as possible." - Korban Lee, Chief Administrative Officer
The City of West Jordan and Taylorsville City have combined Justice Courts. All court cases for both cities now meet in the West Jordan Justice Court (8080 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT 84088).
Each city will keep their own judge: Judge Ryan N. Holtan for West Jordan, Judge Christopher Bown for Taylorsville. Each city is also keeping its own administrative workers, so you won't lose any time with paperwork or waiting for a court date. Combining court systems in one place helps cut costs for everyone.
"It allows two cities now to share the costs between two communities instead of bearing those costs separately. That's the cost for court clerks, bailiffs, security, and the building." - Lee
Both West Jordan and Taylorsville will continue to receive personalized and timely service. This is an example of how cities can work together to save taxpayer money without sacrificing efficiency or accessibility for residents.
