Senator Justice Applauds Toyota’s $88 Million Investment in West Virginia Plant
WASHINGTON - Today, Senator Jim Justice issued a statement following Toyota's recent announcement to boost hybrid vehicle output in West Virginia:
"Toyota has been an incredible business partner to our state and I'm proud to see their continued confidence in hard-working West Virginians. As Senator, I work every day to ensure West Virginia can continue to be a state of opportunity, exactly as I did while serving as Governor. Investments like this highlight the positive impacts a business-friendly state like West Virginia can reap when accompanied by President Trump's commitment to bringing manufacturing jobs back to our country. America is catching on to what I've said for a long time - that West Virginia is the best place in the country to do business," said Senator Jim Justice.
BACKGROUND:
- In 2021, while Governor, Senator Justice worked with Toyota to bring 100 new jobs and a $210 million investment to the West Virginia Plant.
- At the end of 2021, Toyota announced an additional investment in West Virginia following the success from earlier in the year.
- President Trump recently signed an Executive Order calling for companies to bring manufacturing back to the United States.
