CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2025) - Charlotte County Commission has scheduled a public meeting at 2 p.m., Oct. 14, 2025, in Room 119 of the Charlotte County Administration Center, 18500 Murdock Circle in Port Charlotte to provide for public participation in review of the Resiliency and Modernization Plan and will accept public comments on the project in compliance with the Community Development Block Grant Agreement by the State of Florida Department of Commerce. The project will assist Charlotte County in prioritizing utility operations and engineering projects using a decision framework that includes resilience and modernization.
A presentation has been prepared by HDR, Inc., which will describe the steps being taken to assist Charlotte County Utilities with integrated management strategies that will include continuous improvements related to the resilience and modernization along with other county values like public health and reliability of the potable water and sewer systems. A presentation will discuss this project's integrated approach to decision-making, including financial impacts to the community. The county is seeking your input for the Draft Integrated Master Plan and Resiliency Implementation Roadmap before it is finalized and submitted to the Department of Commerce.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public meeting. All persons wishing to speak will be given an opportunity to do so following a brief presentation.
