University leadership evaluates the amount of snow or ice accumulated, road and parking lot conditions, building conditions, and future weather predictions and storm timing when making decisions about campus operations.
UToledo follows guidance from the Lucas County Sheriff's Office, which determines snow level advisories and emergencies. UToledo and UToledo Health remain open to serve our community unless Lucas County issues a Level 3 Snow Emergency.
Every effort is made to announce suspension of morning classes by 6 a.m., afternoon classes by 10 a.m. and evening classes by 3 p.m. This gives the University flexibility should conditions improve throughout the day.
