Linganore Road – Changes to Temporary Road Closure
FREDERICK, Md. - The Frederick County Traffic and Permit Section announced today that the point of closure on Linganore Road will be relocated north of the intersection of Plantation Road on or about October 27, 2025.
The existing road closure will be relocated from a point just south of intersection with Plantation Road to a point just north of the intersection. Motorists attempting to access Plantation Road will need to approach from the south beginning on or about October 27, 2025.
This closure will allow a developer to construct a realignment of Linganore Road slightly to the northwest of the existing alignment, consistent with the approved plans for the Westridge subdivision. Detour signs will be placed along MD 144, Old National Pike, Boyers Mill Road, Gas House Pike, and Monocacy Boulevard.
The project is anticipated to last approximately five weeks weather permitting.
