WARSAW - 18 November 2025 -Greenberg Traurig advised the European Investment Bank (EIB) on its EUR 25 million financing for Synerise, a landmark transaction supporting one of the most innovative deep-tech companies in the CEE region. The financing is provided under the EIB's flagship TechEU programme designed to promote cutting-edge innovations.
The funding will accelerate Synerise's advanced R&D in artificial intelligence and behavioral data analytics, enhance its product development roadmap, and strengthen the company's global expansion efforts. This transaction stands out as one of the most significant recent EIB technology financings in Poland, highlighting the dynamic growth and strategic importance of the Polish AI sector.
The Greenberg Traurig team advising EIB was led by Senior Associate Jakub Walawski, supported by Junior Associate Kinga Liszka. Counsel Agnieszka Stopińska and Senior Associate Aleksandra Czarnecka conducted the borrower due diligence and prepared the warrant agreement, which formed a key component of the financing structure.
Partner Piotr Nerwiński provided overall supervision of the project.
TechEU is the largest-ever European programme for promoting cutting-edge innovation. Through the flagship programme, the EIB Group will inject 70 billion EUR by the end of 2027 to mobilise 250 billion EUR in new investment in breakthrough technologies essential for Europe's future including artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, health and biotechnology, clean energy, semiconductors and defence technologies.
