Idaho's higher-education community will come together for Innovate Idaho 2026 - AI and Open Education Symposium, a statewide virtual event for faculty and staff to share their innovative work with artificial intelligence and/or open education.
The symposium will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 and will take place entirely online. Registration is required for all attendees.
Designed to be an engaging, community-building event, Innovate Idaho 2026 brings together educators, librarians, technologists, student-support professionals and researchers from Idaho's eight public institutions.
Presenters will share practical strategies, creative approaches, and forward-thinking ideas through two session formats: 20-minute presentations and seven-minute lightning talks; both with time for questions.
A highlight of the event will be a lunch panel featuring industry leaders from the St. Luke's, Micron and First Federal Bank sharing their perspectives on how AI is shaping their industry and roles. Faculty and staff may encourage students to attend the panel, as it is applicable for all audiences.
This event is made possible by foundational support from the Idaho State Board of Education and is coordinated by the state's AI Catalyst Network.
