Checklists to Simplify Residential Permit Application Process

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving customer service and streamlining the permitting process, especially with the new 15-day review timeframe for new dwelling permits, PDSD has created updated checklists for residential building permit applications. These resources are now available on our Residential Permits webpage.

The four new checklists cover:

Each checklist covers exactly which documents and information are required for each permit application type, including document formatting guidelines. These resources are designed to help customers prepare complete applications the first time, with a goal of faster review times and fewer delays. By understanding the requirements upfront, applicants can avoid common mistakes and get their projects moving more quickly.

Additional checklists and customer resources are currently in development to further streamline the permit process.
