The latest: Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is ready to respond to Tropical Storm Isaias as the system strengthens and approaches the Florida Panhandle.
Why it matters: Tropical Storm Isaias has the potential to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, flooding, significant storm surge and possible tornadoes to the Florida Panhandle. It also has the potential to cause power outages throughout the region. FPL urges customers to review their family and business emergency plans, monitor the storm's development and follow the advice of local, state and federal elected officials.
