Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
The City of Tehachapi is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 11 starting at Railroad Park. Two downtown routes, a one mile and a two-mile, will be available for participants to choose between. The event will feature remarks from healthcare professionals and a local cancer survivor starting at 8:30 a.m. The walk will kick off at 9 a.m. There will also be a health fare open to all from 8 a.m. to noon. There is no registration fee for this event, but donations are encouraged. All funds raised will be donated to the AIS Cancer Center and the Tehachapi Cancer Foundation. Tehachapi Breast Cancer Awareness hats will also be for sale, a portion of those funds also will be donated to local cancer groups. The event aims to support individuals affected by breast cancer, raise funds for research and support services, and promote awareness and early detection.
