Update: Water Service Restored to the Granada Hills and Porter Ranch Areas, Water Boil Notice Still In Effect

Updated at 2:47 AM

LOS ANGELES (August 11, 2025) - As of 2:37 AM this morning, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) crews have restored water service to all customers impacted by the water outage as a result of a broken valve that required complex repairs.

Customers in Granada Hills and Porter Ranch can now use tap water to take showers, flush toilets, water landscaping and other household and business needs. However, the Boil Water Notice remains in effect until LADWP completes its rigorous water quality testing. All customers are urged to continue following the Boil Water Notice instructions at ladwpnews.com previously issued for Granada Hills and Porter Ranch until further notice. We expect the boil water notice to remain in effect for a few more days as water quality testing is completed and we receive clearance from the State Division of Drinking Water.

For more information on our continued efforts to restore drinking water, visit ladwp.com/waterquality.

Thank you to all of our customers for your patience and to our crews for their hard work under hazardous conditions and very hot weather.
