The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Qatar held the round of political consultations

On February 16, the 4th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Qatar took place in Doha.

The delegations were led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres, and also exchanged views on the implementation of agreements reached as a result of high-level visits and negotiations.

During the meeting, priority areas were identified for increasing mutual trade, expanding the legal and contractual framework, and enhancing cooperation between the business communities of the two countries. Special attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the fields of industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, tourism, education, healthcare, and digital technologies.

The sides held a comprehensive exchange of views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda and reaffirmed their mutual interest in enhancing coordination within multilateral frameworks and sustaining regular political dialogue between their foreign ministries to further advance strategic cooperation.
