Special City Council Meeting Nov. 15 To Canvass General Election Results
Las Vegas City Council Also To Consider Appointees To LVCVA Board
The Las Vegas City Council is scheduled to take action on the certification of canvassed election returns for the Municipal General Election at a special meeting at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, in Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, located at 495 S. Main St.
The City Council will take action to certify the results of the Nov. 4, 2024, election. The newly elected mayor and Ward 5 councilmember are scheduled to be sworn into office at the Dec. 4, 2024, City Council meeting.
A special City Council meeting was needed to certify the election results for the Municipal races to meet time requirements under state law. The council also will vote on who to appoint from the City Council to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board, and represent the city at the Dec. 10 meeting.
The meeting will be broadcast live on cable channel 2, and at www.kclv.tv/live.
Public comment will be available for items on the agenda until 5 p.m. Nov. 14, at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/councilcomment. Those wishing to comment on items on the council agenda are invited to do so online, or to attend the meeting in person and participate in the public comment periods.
