Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy two days of hands-on learning experiences at Garden of the Gods Park and Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site on April 29 and 30.
Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site will host its Spring Homeschool Day on Wednesday, April 29. This self-paced program invites visitors to explore life in the Pikes Peak region from the 1860s through the 1890s through hands-on activities, including pioneer crafts, ranching demonstrations, and historic trade experiences. Admission is $4 per person, with free entry for children ages 2 and under. Most activities take place outdoors, and visitors are encouraged to dress for the weather. Tickets and additional information for the Rock Ledge Ranch event are available at RockLedgeRanch.com/event/spring-homeschool-day/.
At the Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center, Homeschool Day will take place Thursday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This free, family-friendly event includes hands-on learning opportunities, live animal presentations, guided nature walks, and educational activities led by local partners.
"We are excited to host a new Homeschool Day at the Garden of the Gods," said Asya Simons, park guide at Garden of the Gods Park. "The variety of partners and educational opportunities allows families to explore and learn together throughout the day."
