Neighborhood Pipeline Upgrades to Maintain Reliability

Under every street, there's a network of water pipes silently moving water to homes and businesses. Some of these pipes are brand new, while others have been doing their job for 50 years or longer!

At CCWD, we maintain nearly 900 miles of underground pipelines. To avoid interruptions to your water service, we regularly replace older pipes with new ones designed to last for decades. One recent project involved upgrading 3.2 miles of pipeline in a Concord neighborhood as part of our ongoing investments to prevent leaks and ensure long-term reliability.

These upgrades are funded through the water rates you already pay and are part of our commitment to keeping your water system strong now and into the future. So next time you see crews working in the street, know it's all part of it's all part of delivering clean water to your tap.
