Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program announces Round 2 of funding, 4 community input report out sessions

The Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program (EHCRP) is pleased to announce its second round of funding. This is made possible through the support of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and Proposition 4. The goal is to fund and support local, regional, and Tribal efforts to reduce the impacts of extreme heat. To inform program design, the EHCRP hosted a series of community input sessions in July and August to collect feedback on objectives, priorities, and overall design.

We are hosting four report-out sessions based on the feedback from our community input sessions. We will summarize what we learned, outline how those changes will impact the guidelines, and review key timelines, and share pre-application support opportunities. Once the notice of funding availability (NOFA) is released, the program will hold additional outreach sessions to answer questions about the application process and encourage participation.

The schedule and registrations for the four sessions are as follows:

Statewide - All audiences welcome.

Tribal - Focus is on Tribal Communities, Tribal-Serving Organizations and Representatives, but all audiences are welcome. There will be additional opportunities for tribal engagement between November and the NOFA.

We hope you'll join us for one of these sessions!
