Rate changes: Water surcharge

RATE CHANGE STARTING IN JULY 2025:

While the City of Andover does not operate water distribution, the City does own the water lines providing service. This places responsibility on the City to replace failed water lines and relocate water mains.

Currently, City of Wichita water users in Andover are charged a $.20 surcharge for each 1000 gallons used, with the minimum set to $1.35 per user per month. This is billed by Wichita and remitted to the City of Andover.

While the charge of $.20 per 1000 gallons remains the same, the minimum user surcharge will increase $1.00 per month, raising it from $1.35 to $2.35 starting July 1, 2025. The minimum surcharge will increase annually beginning January 1, 2026 - January 1, 2028 at $0.35 per month for each user.
