The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is seeking public comment on the Draft Unit Management Plan (UMP) for the Woodland Valley Campground and Day-Use Area located in Ulster County. The draft UMP guides future management of the facility over the next five years and is available for public comment until July 14, 2025.
The Woodland Valley Campground and Day Use Area is located on Woodland Valley Road, eight miles south of the village of Phoenicia in the town of Phoenicia, Ulster County. Site amenities include waterfront campsites, hot showers, flush toilets, trailer dumping station, and fishing and hiking opportunities.
DEC proposes the following actions in the draft UMP:

In addition, the public can visit the Woodland Valley Campground and Day Use Area Survey to share comments on recreational opportunities. Survey Responses will be accepted until July 14, 2025.
