On behalf of the United States of America, I want to express my sincere congratulations to the people of Austria as you celebrate your National Day. The friendship between our nations was forged by close economic, historic, and cultural ties. The United States values Austria's role as a strong and respected partner in Europe, and we celebrate the achievements of the Austrian people in building a modern and dynamic democracy at the heart of the continent.
Our economic relationship has never been stronger. American and Austrian businesses continue to create jobs and opportunities on both sides of the Atlantic, including in advanced manufacturing, digital technologies, and space cooperation. Together, we can unleash even greater innovation to strengthen our shared prosperity.
