While other members of the Wentworth community were away from campus during winter break, the Department of Facilities team was hard at work implementing a variety of improvements across campus.
One key project was the creation of a new faculty space. CEIS 407 has been transformed into a dedicated faculty lounge, a project overseen by Assistant Director of Planning and Construction Sharon Gaffney and designed in collaboration with Associate Professor of Interior Design Lynette Panarelli.

A couple of well-trafficked areas also received some attention. Updates were made to the first floor of Wentworth Hall, including the removal of unused display cases and a full repainting, and the ground floor of Rubenstein, where aging lockers were replaced and new seating areas are planned.
"These changes aim to create a more welcoming atmosphere for campus visitors," said Director of Planning & Construction Janine Murphy.
The flooring in the basement of 610 was replaced, encompassing an area used by Wentworth students as well as STRIVE program staff.
Work has also started on the installation of chilled water and AC in Nelson Hall, a project overseen by Facilities Engineer Stephen Boudette. The Athletics office suite in Nelson Hall was additionally refreshed recently.
With flooring upgrades in Wentworth Hall scheduled for spring break among other projects, the campus will see even more improvements in the coming weeks.
