On June 3rd, H.E. Ambassador Hou Yue and Mr. Even Tronstad Sagebakken, State Secretary to the Norwegian Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy, jointly visited the China Pavilion at Nor-Shipping 2025. They received briefings from leading Chinese enterprises such as China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC) and Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (ZPMC), and exchanged views on deepening China-Norway cooperation in maritime and shipping sectors.
Ambassador Hou stated that China and Norway share a solid foundation and significant potential for maritime collaboration. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Norway inemerging areas such as green shipping and smart maritime technologies, promoting the sustainable development of global maritime industry. State Secretary Sagebakken spoke highly of the innovative achievements of Chinese enterprises and expectedcloser cooperation with China for mutual benefits.
Established in 1965, Nor-Shipping is one of the world's most influential maritime trade exhibitions. This year's event brings together nearly 1,000 enterprises and institutions from 52 countries and regions. The China Pavilion, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Machinery, featured a record-high participation of over 60 Chinese companies.
