Bring Unwanted Items to Wheaton's Monthly Recycling Collections


Residents are encouraged to recycle their unwanted items at the monthly Electronic, Scrap Metal, Textile & More Recycling Events, hosted by the City of Wheaton's Environmental Improvement Commission. These collections take place on the second Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. to noon, at Wheaton's Public Works Storage Yard, 820 W. Liberty Drive.

These are drive-through collections where volunteers will help unload items from your car. Accepted items include clothing and shoes, scrap metal, cooking oil, fluorescent tube lights (no CFL light bulbs), and electronics. There is a charge for all TVs and monitors.

Please note that the April 12 monthly collection will be replaced by the Recycling Extravaganza & Paper Shredding Event, 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the DuPage Event Center & Fairgrounds, 2015 Manchester Road.
