The City of Miami is enhancing its Code Compliance customer service experience with the launch of an upgraded, Generative AI-powered chatbot designed to make it easier for residents and businesses to access timely, accurate information online. Integrated directly into the City's website, the enhanced chatbot provides self-service assistance for common code compliance questions, draws from authoritative City and municipal code sources, offers support in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole to better serve Miami's diverse community, and is designed to comply with accessibility standards to ensure usability for all residents, including those with disabilities.
Built on secure, scalable cloud technology, the chatbot is designed to improve response quality, expand access to information, and reduce routine inquiries requiring live staff assistance, allowing City employees to focus on more complex resident needs. The platform is also designed to scale and support future enhancements across additional City services, increasing transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in service delivery.
