Several Streets Now Closed for Water Main and Railroad Repairs

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets are closed for emergency water main repairs and railroad track repairs.
The closures are as follows:

Holdrege Street between 56th Street and North Cotner Boulevard is closed for emergency water main repairs. The recommended detour is 56th Street to Vine Street to North Cotner Boulevard. The street is expected to reopen to eastbound traffic Tuesday, June 23, and reopen to westbound traffic Tuesday, June 30.

Eastbound "A" Street between 70th and 84th streets is closed for emergency water main repairs. The recommended detour is 70th Street to "O" or Van Dorn streets to 84th Street. An estimated completion date for the water main and street repairs has not been determined.

33rd Street between Cornhusker Highway and Madison Avenue is closed for railroad track repairs. The street is expected to reopen Tuesday, June 23.

44th Street between Cornhusker Highway and Gladstone Street is closed for railroad track repairs. The street is expected to reopen Tuesday, June 23.
Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project start and end dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
