Med Center Health Opens Request for Proposals (RFP) for Distance Learning & Telemedicine Deployment

Med Center Health is now seeking proposals from vendors interested in participating in Med Center Health's United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Distance Learning & Telemedicine (DLT) Grant RFP process. Med Center Health has received two grants totaling $1,469,130 from the USDA to support the deployment of digital smartboards, AI-powered cameras, telehealth platforms and related clinical integrations across its rural hospital locations in Albany, Horse Cave, Franklin, Russellville and Scottsville as well as Med Center Health Primary Care Elkton. Med Center Health will contribute approximately 15% matching funds, bringing the total investment in DLT to $1,690,630.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, February 6. Interested vendors should visit medcenterhealth.org/procurement-opportunities/ where the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is posted. It outlines the technical, regulatory, and integration requirements vendors must meet, including but not limited to:

• Deployment of 252 digital smartboards, 140 AI-powered cameras, and 140 tablets;
• Integration with Epic, Rauland nurse call, Nihon Kohden cardiac monitors, PACS, telehealth/virtual care platforms, patient video education systems, and Epic ambient listening;
• Requirements for vendor eligibility: compliance with 2 CFR 200, USDA DLT regulations, all associated federal certifications, data security/privacy standards, and interoperability expectations;
• Support for a three-year licensing, maintenance, and implementation period; and
• Documentation that will also be evaluated using the internal SOQ review process and federal procurement integrity requirements.
