Update: Daytime Full Closures of Stone Valley Road On-Ramp to Southbound I-680 in Alamo

Contra Costa County - Caltrans will continue full closures of the Stone Valley Road on-ramp to southbound Interstate 680 (I-680) in Alamo daily beginning Tuesday, February 17, 2026, through Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All work is weather dependent and subject to change. These closures are necessary to support ongoing fiber optic installation, ramp metering system improvements, and widening of the Stone Valley Road on-ramp. Work includes reconstruction of the retaining wall and soundwall (Tentative completion Summer 2026) as part of continued infrastructure improvements along the I-680 corridor in Contra Costa County.

Detour Information
During the temporary closure of Stone Valley Road on-ramp:

  • Left or Right Turn from Stone Valley Road to NB Danville Road
  • Right Turn to EB Livorna
  • Enter SB 680 On-Ramp

This project is scheduled to continue through Winter 2028 weather permitting.
