Sydney, Australia - February 20, 2026 - Elanco Animal Health Incorporated today announced that the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has registered Advocate™ Ultra Chew (lotilaner, moxidectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel chewable tablets). Launching in April 2026, this approval introduces the broadest spectrum parasite protection* available for Australian dogs in a single monthly dose.
Known in the U.S. as Credelio Quattro™ (lotilaner, moxidectin, praziquantel, and pyrantel chewable tablets), the Australian approval marks the first geographic expansion for the product. This innovation will launch in Australia under the trusted Advocate™ brand name. Advocate Ultra Chew combines four well-established active ingredients in a tasty chew, delivering the broadest protection* of any all-in-one product against fleas, ticks (including paralysis ticks), heartworm and intestinal worms, including tapeworms. For Australian dog owners, the Paralysis Tick (Ixodes holocyclus), which occurs mainly along the eastern coast of Australia, is a primary concern due to the potentially fatal toxicosis it causes.
Importantly, Advocate Ultra Chew is the only all-in-one product that kills tapeworms, including those that are zoonotic and pose a serious risk to human health, like hydatid tapeworm (Echinococcus granulosus).
"Parasites are not just a nuisance; they pose health risks to dogs and their families. In a time where the bond between humans and pets is closer than ever, the risk of zoonotic diseases cannot be ignored," said Dr. Liisa Ahlstrom, Technical Services Veterinarian, Pet Health Parasiticides at Elanco Australia. "Advocate Ultra Chew offers dog owners convenience and peace of mind by providing the broadest spectrum protection* available in a single monthly tasty chew. By adding tapeworm, we are elevating the zoonotic coverage and offering a new standard of care to protect the health of dogs and their families."
"We are incredibly proud to bring this global innovation to Australian veterinarians and pet owners under the Advocate name - a brand that has stood for trust and comprehensive protection in this market for years," said Lance Williams, Vice President, Pacific Rim at Elanco. "With Advocate Ultra Chew, we are delivering the same breakthrough 4-in-1 product that is revolutionizing the U.S. market, tailored to meet the challenging demands of the Australian environment."
Advocate Ultra Chew has been shown to be safe for use in dogs and puppies from 8 weeks of age and weighing 2 kg or greater. Safety has been demonstrated in heartworm-positive dogs and across various breeds, including avermectin-sensitive Collies.
Advocate Ultra Chew will be available from April 2026.
