Gilbert, Ariz.- Monday night's storm knocked down trees in several Gilbert neighborhoods, blocking roads and causing traffic light outages. Gilbert crews are actively working to clear debris and restore power while the storm continues. Residents should avoid downed trees, especially those near utility lines, and not attempt to move large debris. Please wait for our crews to arrive. If you see a tree caught in power lines, keep a safe distance as this can be life-threatening.
Due to increased call volume and ongoing storm impacts, our phone lines are busier than usual. Gilbert Police are currently directing traffic at affected intersections. We recommend staying home unless travel is necessary. If you must drive, please do so with caution and remain alert for work crews and other drivers.
We appreciate the community's patience during this time. Please report non-emergency issues viaGilbert 311. Use 9-1-1 for emergencies and (480) 503-6500 for non-emergencies.
