U.S. Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Rep. Lizzie Fletcher with the Advocate for American Business Award during the National Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour

SUGAR LAND, TX - The U.S. Chamber's Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, Neil Bradley, presented Rep. Lizzie Fletcher (D-TX-07) with the Advocate for American Business award while visiting Aling's Chinese Bistro in Sugar Land, Texas, today.

"Lizzie Fletcher has consistently demonstrated a commitment to free enterprise policies that create opportunities for workers, families, and businesses," said Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "This is why we're proud to recognize her leadership by presenting her with the Advocate for American Business Award. Securing three percent economic growth is up to all of us, and we're glad to continue working alongside Lizzie to push policies that support job creation and affordability."

Rep. Fletcher and Bradley were joined by Ifran Motiwala, owner of Aling's Chinese Bistro and Keri Schmidt, President and CEO of the Fort Bend Regional Partnership, where the group also discussed the challenges of starting a business.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.

The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
