Montgomery, AL - The Montgomery City-County Public Library (MCCPL) is calling on local teens to help shape the future of library services through its newly launched Teen Advisory Board (TAB). Open to ages 12-18, TAB offers young people the chance to make their voices heard, influence library programming, and take part in meaningful community involvement.
TAB members will have the opportunity to:
• Help plan and design teen-focused programs and events
• Recommend new Young Adult books and materials they want to see on shelves
• Earn volunteer hours for school or community service
• Connect with other teens from across the MCCPL system
"The Teen Advisory Board is all about empowering young people to make the library truly theirs," said MCCPL leadership. "We want teens to bring their ideas, creativity, and perspectives to help us build programs that reflect what matters to them."
Interested teens can sign up by scanning the QR code available on promotional materials or by registering in person at any MCCPL branch. Meetings will take place at the Downtown Library, located at 245 High St., Montgomery, AL 36104.
MCCPL encourages all area teens to get involved, share their ideas, and help shape a library experience created with-and for-them.
For more information or to register, visit your nearest MCCPL branch or complete the Teen Advisory Board application online.
