10:00 a.m. - Business Agenda Meeting
The Board will consider:

  1. Approval of County Cash Requirements August 22, 2025 through August 29, 2025.
  2. Approval of the 2025 Cooperator Services Agreement and Work and Financial Plan between La Plata County and U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plan Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services.
  3. Approval of appointment to Durango/La Plata County Airport Commission.
  4. Approval of a letter of support for Falls Creek Ranch's application for a Capacity Building Grant.
  5. Approval of a letter of support for Falls Creek Ranch's application for a Fuels Reduction Grant.
  6. Ratification of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation grant application.
  7. Consideration of Resolution number 2025-17 approving amendments to the 2024 Budget.
  8. Consideration of Resolution No. 2025-18 La Plata County Assignment of Private Activity Bond Allocation to the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.
  9. Resolution 2025-19 Cancelling Delinquent Personal Property Taxes Uncollectable After Six Years, C.R.S. § 39-10-101(2)(b)(I).
  10. Resolution 2025-20 Cancelling Personal Property Taxes uncollectable after
    one year C.R.S. § 39-10-114(2)(a).
  11. Consideration of Appointment to the Lodging Tax Committee.

Executive Session (Immediately following Board Discussion Time)
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  1. Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(f). Purpose: County Manager Selection Process and interview with final candidate.

THURSDAY, September 11
8:00 a.m. - 2025 Alliance Summit
The Board will attend the 2025 Alliance Summit, sponsored by the Economic Development Alliance. The Summit will be held at the Sky Ute Casino, located at 14324 CO-172 in Ignacio.

FRIDAY, September 12
10:00 a.m. - Counties and Commissioners Acting Together (CCAT) Weekly Member Check-In
The Board will attend the virtual CCAT check-in with Colorado Commissioners.

12:30 p.m. - Executive Session
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4), upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

  1. For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b). Purpose: Colorado Local Budget Law requirements; authority and obligations of BoCC and other elected officials and public health on budget matters; legal obligations of the BoCC regarding metro districts; and legal options regarding code enforcement within the Forest Lakes metro district.
